OakStar Ministries was formed in 2007 as non-denominational congregation led by the people.  The group was formed after a petition from the members of A.P.P.L.E. (Association of Pagan People Living Everywhere) was accepted by the State of Connecticut, recognizing the group as a church entity.  A.P.P.L.E. felt that there was a need for strong community visibility in a group of religions that are traditionally practiced solitarily.

Since 2007, OakStar Ministries has performed weddings and handfastings in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and soon in New York; seen several young men and women take vows to become clergy in their chosen religion; started a seminary for the education of clergy; and OakStar Healers, the Artistic and Healing Guild of the church, has become a prominent feature at the Connecticut Renaissance Faires in both Guilford and Hebron, Connecticut.

Currently the group meets on Monday nights at various members homes, while we raise money to purchase a permanant site.  It is the dream of the church to one day have a permanent structure in which to all of the activities can be performed.
